Iterate This 01:15
I open my eyes and I can still hear them dancing as if devils were driving their shells As the morning light turns to evening iterate this four more times Iterate this four more times Iterate this till you drop like flies
2.
Sobotka 04:08
This is my watch on my patch And I own every inch of what you're standing on No I won't give you up anything Because you have nothing here that I want Well Sobotka we know what's been going on behind those doors The way that you move those tins and cans Sobotka we know what's been going on behind those doors You move when the port is flowing You move when the port is flowing Can we go on? Well it's not your call You just leave those decisions to us You move when the port is flowing Can we go on? Well it's not your call You just leave those decisions to us

Grandeur 04:04
Son you're bleeding You're spilling You're pissing out your own blood from your throat Designed and crafted Enabled and actioned by a hired hand in perfect style Withdrawal of protection The methods used to resume and assert our control on this neighbourhood Where big fish they eat little fish You forced our hand You made us play and so you'll learn the hardest way imaginable Delusion of grandeur You burned too bright too fast from being unknown Delusion of grandeur You have And now you're lying in the road Avoid complications Remove all threats however young or small A message of intent Big fish they eat little fish You forced our hand you made us play and so you'll learn the hardest way imaginable Delusion of grandeur You burned too bright too fast from being unknown Delusion of grandeur You have And now you're lying in the road
4.
Lucky Jack 03:56
A short term repair keeps us from harm A best guess Pot shots Cannons on the sea bed She's a weight on our mind She's a weight on our mind The stalker's scheming She's a weight on our mind She's a weight on our mind Our lead is slipping Lucky Jack You're lucky Jack Lucky jack Tailgate at sunrise Ten miles as the crow flies She creeps Gaining Inches become yards She's a weight on our mind She's a weight on our mind The stalker's creeping She's a weight on our mind She's a weight on our mind Her mission's our demise Lucky Jack

Able Archer 05:02
If they receive our control then they control all of us If they receive our control then they control all of us Caught between the jaws of sleeping leviathan that's stirring Caught between the jaws of a monster Able archer is rising up from it's knees to feet If they receive our control If they receive our control then they control all of us They control all of us

You have come and started a war inside me head for my home All is set so let's play mind games between ourselves There's no one else for miles around Set in the heart of the rolling moors plans are set to reshape the land Have you thought or even considered if i refuse and make my own demands? There's no negotiation or debate Just build around me In the seventh year of construction I see bodies work on the horizon I've had a taste of what's to come here But not till a thousand faces are screaming daily past my door There's no negotiation or debate Just build around me
7.
Oblige 04:32
My love we've been here before We're going around in wide circles And while we've been talking It's unsurprising we've got nowhere Have patience No pressure All in good time We could stand here forever If that's what you want I'll oblige Yes i will All right we're pressing on old ground I recognise these tracks as our own We've been getting nowhere fast for too long I've forgotten what it's like to progress and push things on Have patience No pressure All in good time We could stand here forever If that's what you want I'll oblige Have patience All in good time

Out in the borderlands Out in the wilds you called me in A mediator recording Files full of documents to be archived daily Capturing all the words you say And so the meeting starts and the words that follow are lost from now to time and ether The minutes they will read as follows; these words are lost to time and ether Your words Your dialect Sat between fashioned walls on neutral ground Nava stay optimistic that the two will show Both are estranged They speak words we learn and then repeat The meeting starts and the words that follow are lost from now to time and ether The minutes they will read as follows; these words are lost to time and ether Your words Your dialect explodes in dust And when you read these words you glean something It's something

Why is it always a bigger job than you first thought at the outset? At the point of conception it looked so easy than now We made a miscalculation to a couple of decimal places And now it's the power of ten All questions no answers I'm not done I'm not quite through yet It's a killer but it's not all over They've gone over the paper released to the press You know what I'm going to say What's coming next We made a miscalculation to a couple of decimal places Falsified null and void Our work here is done All questions no answers I'm not done I'm not quite through yet It's a killer but it's not all over It's not all over
10.
When you are the last The bottom of the food chain Where's your next meal coming in from? Let's list the possibilities It didn't take much thought Don't put it down to luck It didn't take much thought Don't put it down to luck You've left it there once before and now we're both stuck here We're standing on the edge of nothing with no backup or support Waiting for a conclusion An inevitable final twist to come Here we are Bury yourself in parched ground to hibernate All routes are now closed All exits are blockades It didn't take much thought Don't put it down to luck It didn't take much thought Don't put it down to Here we are

about

This is our debut album which we spent 2 years writing for. Most of the songs are about things I've read, watched or heard in the British or international press.

Most of the material comes from the excellent BBC Radio 4 as they tend to report the more unusual human stories that don't usually get talked about. 'From Our Own Correspondent' is a great example of this.

A lot of the songs have a similar theme in that there is a problem which can't ever be solved so it's pretty dark stuff.

Hopefully some of it is uplifting too, as it's meant to be, but I hope you enjoy it whether it depresses or uplifts. There isn't a right answer.

PRESS:

"A sinister, bleak record, marked by haunting vocals and offensively oppressive walls of guitar. Striking and strangely beautiful...Magnificent band."
THIS IS FAKE DIY

"This Leeds quartet slowly reveal hidden depths"
UNCUT

"Sure to stand a few hairs on end and whet a few appetites."
SIC MAGAZINE

"What a debut…this album hits a chord with anyone who has a heart. If indie rock/shoegazing is your thing, you need to check out this album.
CONTACT MUSIC

"[This] Leeds four-piece deal in tight, rugged anthems. The title track centrepiece is a slumbering beast that wakes to find math-rock hooks darting across its feet, only to crush them with ruthless intent. "
THE FLY

"Able Archer is a finely tuned collection of songs that sparkles with a beauty and intelligence so desperately lacking in many of today’s more highly feted artists. It represents the fact that substance will always win the day over style, and I Concur seemingly possess that facet by the bucketload."
